Product Details

Two-fisted trouble-shooter Allen Saunders (ALLAN LANE) joins forces with the jungle goddess known as The TIGER WOMAN (played by LINDA STIRLING ) to battle sinister oil thieves in the savage wilderness of South America. The native lands ruled by TIGER WOMAN have been invaded by cruel plunderers (veteran serial villains LEROY MASON and GEORGE J. LEWIS ) who will stop at nothing to obtain the precious Jungle Gold. This is the first outing for serial queen Linda Stirling(ZORRO’S BLACK WHIP, The CRIMSON GHOST ) and pairing her with top-notch leading man Allan “Rocky” Lane guaranteed strong leads. Throw in DUNCAN RENALDO (TV’s CISCO KID ) and the cast really shines. Thrilling action, excellent sets and fast-paced direction (by Spencer Bennet and Wallace Grissell ) make this 1943 black & white release one of the better serials Republic Pictures produced during the genre’s heyday. Digitally remastered; this DVD format regions-free presentation, recorded in NTSC format on two DVD-R discs includes all 12 original chapters, and runs 3 hours & 10 minutes, and should be playable on any standard DVD player. Released in 2007.
