Seductress and blackmailer Miriam King makes a living preying on the affections of men. When she threatens to reveal her affair with a wealthy married man unless he pays her $5000, she is found murdered. Detective Henry Barton takes the case and discovers that Miriam was involved in much more than simple blackmail. Dorothy Revier was one of the Western Association of Motion Picture Advertisers' Wampas Baby Stars of 1925. She appeared in almost ninety films and is famous for her role in the 1931 Charlie Chan thriller, The Black Camel. Director Richard Thorpe's lengthly career included such achievements as Night Must Fall (1937), The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (1939), The Prisoner of Zenda (1952) and Jailhouse Rock with Elvis Presley (1957).
